“Students are the backbone of our future food system. Strong education and training programs are needed to grow the next crop of alternative protein talent.” -Good Food Institute

Alternative proteins include meat, fish, dairy, and eggs made using plant-based, fermented, and/or cultivated ingredients that do not rely on live animal agriculture.

Our group seeks to establish an inclusive academic ecosystem by building technical and professional pathways needed for the alternative protein field to succeed. We also aim to foster academia-industry partnerships to cultivate future pioneers of alternative protein and accelerate sustainable food solutions globally.

We foster academia-industry partnerships to build technical and professional training pathways for future pioneers of the alternative protein field. Members have taken on diverse roles within industry, NGOs, and higher education to further advance the field of alternative proteins.
